Charity & Community

Penair School: During September and October 2009, Lyvit Publishing worked with Penair School in Truro to produce “Learning For Life”, a poetry and art book showcasing some fantastic work from all of the pupils. Lyvit Publishing received no payment for this work, using spare time to co-edit and produce 750 copies for pupils.

All funds from sales of the book were managed by the school for future projects.

A second book, “Being Creative”, was produced in August 2011.

Lyvit now works with Penair School every year to produce a new book of poetry, art and stories.

Parc Eglos School: In July and August 2012 Lyvit Publishing worked with Parc Eglos School in Helston to produce a book of poetry and artwork as inspired by the Penair books. Again no payment was taken with editing being carried out by the headteacher and Terry Lander.

Many thanks to all customers who have purchased products during charity appeals.

Charity Calendar: During November/December 2010 Lyvit Publishing worked with a local photographer, Christina Draper, to produce a calendar to raise funds for The Precious Lives Appeal, which is helping to fund a childrens’ hospice in Cornwall. Lyvit received no payment for the calendars and all funds went directly to the hospice.

Lyvit Publishing has donated the following through book sales:

Help For Heroes: An online auction on Twitter for ‘Kama Slumber’ raised £10.00 for Help For Heroes on 28th of May 2011.

The Splash Project: Donations of £2.00 per copy of ‘Life Through The Eyes Of An Insider’ were given to the Splash Project during the month of June 2007. This raised a total of £10.00.

The Pirate Trust: A week of sales of ‘Life Through The Eyes Of An Insider’ led to £100.00 being raised for the Pirate Trust during August 2007.

Future charity work is planned, watch this space for details.
